Her Conference X Jones New York

I’m about eight months post-grad, and each day I’m learning, evolving, and finding my voice in my industry. I’ll be the first to admit that our media-filled world can be incredibly misleading; so when we see our peers or idols “making it look easy,” it’s crucial to keep in mind that we’re all on our own unique journey to create a beautiful, fulfilling life.

Her Conference does an incredible job of emphasizing the importance of supporting each other and we’ll all rise together in the end. Every year, the team at Her Campus curates a weekend-long event with panels and key-notes featuring industry leaders like Samantha Barry, Editor-in-Chief of Glamour, to mega-influencer Ashley Brooke and a slew of other women making waves in fashion, journalism, entertainment and so on. This creates the perfect environment for collegiate women, recent grads and influencers to network and, most importantly, find their voice.

The team also does a fabulous job of securing sponsors who also support the same values that Her Conference is built on. I was lucky enough to represent Jones New York at the conference this year! This was the perfect brand for me to partner up with as they’re all about reinventing classics in a modern way—chic and staple yet on-trend. Although perfect for the office, their latest collection can, too, be easily worn from work-to-weekend with a few simple updates.

As you've probably noticed, I almost never wear jeans—I literally own one pair. Surprisingly enough, I actually love denim when styled in more unconventional ways. Jones NY gifted me this lightweight, denim-inspired dress that’s perfect for work or weekend.

Since Her Conference was on a weekend, I wanted to keep my look fun but still professional. I added my own cheetah print belt (that’s actually a scarf), distressed denim jacket and favorite pair of black block heels (major Celine vibes, right?) which kept me looking presentable while still showing off my personality.
