SS19 Colors Worth the Investment

It’s no secret I live by a pretty strict color palette. That’s not for a lacking of trying— I truly am just attracted to those shades. Although, this season may be the game-changer I never knew I needed.

Spring/Summer 2019 is quite the eclectic mix. We’ve transitioned from dressing in simple pops of color into head-to-toe vibrant hues that fiercely command a statement. I mean, hey, summer is supposed to be all about fun, right? Even so much so that I’m about to splurge on a haute hue or two.

1. Lavender

Arguably the new “Millennial Pink”, this shade is feminine, fun and easy to wear compared to some of the more saturated colors on our radar this season. It even backs well to denim for a juxtaposed collaboration.

2. Electric Orange

This shade took over the SS19 runways and it’s only a matter of time before it takes over the streets too. Try this one in a summer dress or jumpsuit— can you imagine it paired with a nice tan? You need it.

3. Sage

Undoubtedly the most tame of the bunch, sage is equally refreshed for the spring color palette. You can definitely catch us neutral-leaning dressers trying out this shade in just about anything from jackets to swimwear.

4. Hot Pink

Embrace the #bossbabe vibes and rock what fashion girls are calling “power pink”. It’s even captured the hearts of designers and will be sticking around for AW19 too, so be sure to stock up in a variety of convertible pieces.

5. Powder Blue

Another wearable shade, powder blue remains a favorite of retailers from both the high and low markets. It looks incredible in lustrous satins and airy chiffons which play well with summer-slanted silhouettes.
