It’s nearly been eight months since graduation, but I feel like post-grad life has aged me 10+ years—no joke. Not only has my life drastically changed (and continues to change each week, I swear) but so has my closet. If you know me, you know I absolutely despise summer clothing. I am a quintessential fall dresser; give me a sweater, booties and a statement jacket and I could not be happier. With that being said, a summer wardrobe is something I never feel like spending my money to build out nearly to the capacity as my fall/winter selection, but this #adulting thing has left me no choice besides to curate a wardrobe better fit for my new lifestyle.
I call these my #adulting shorts: high-waisted, wide-legged and actually comfortable. What I love most about these shorts is how flattering they are; the waist cinches in just the right spot and subtly flares to create a feminine curve. They’re incredibly easy to style, too. For day time, I love to style them with an oversized button-down and sandal but can easily translate this look into night by pairing them with a bodysuit or bandeau top and pair of heels.
